Final Thoughts

There’s less than an hour left in 2015 and I’m snacking on gluten free  chips in my brand new bed, looking through an old journal, preparing to enter into a new year.

2015 was a year of many firsts. It was my first year not being a college athlete, my first time going to Asia…and on and on it goes.  But it was also a year of challenges. It’s a year where I’ve gone to the doctor and gotten blood drawn more than I can count.  It’s a year where feeling less than 100% became the norm. It’s a year with all the difficulties of being away from campus for 8 months and coming back for senior year.

This is what I wrote on January 4, 2015:

I guess my prayer for 2015 is to become a leader like the one described in James. Lord give me the strength to endure the trials and to still praise you in the midst of it all. You are good. That is one thing I hope will reign true.

Well, at the end of this beautifully challenging year, the Lord is still good.

Psalm 24:8–Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!
